About the Client

BMI Advisory Services is a Delta, BC–based insurance and financial-services firm offering life, disability, critical-illness, mortgage, and corporate whole-life insurance. They specialize in embedding life, disability, and critical-illness coverage into the mortgage-broker industry — helping brokers add a revenue stream while protecting their clients — which is exactly why referrals flow in from mortgage offices across Canada.

The Challenge

The before state

BMI Advisory Services receives referrals from many offices across Canada. The old process demanded human review, cleanup, manual contact creation, manual assignment, manual outreach, and manual follow-up. The hard part was not just volume — it was routing accuracy.

Different agents are licensed for different provinces and tied to different offices and referral sources. A referral could not simply go to “any agent.” It had to be filtered, organized, assigned, contacted, and tracked correctly based on province, source office, agent licensing, availability, and booking behavior.

Referrals arrived as emails and documents — not every email was a valid lead.
